getting a healthy mind and body. Once we evaluate our patients a treatment plan is made with the patient and tailored to the

At Total Wellness you can access help for psychological issues as well as issues related to obesity and over weight. Patients
can access psychiatry/ Individual psychotherapy/ Group Psychotherapy/ Marital Therapy/nutrition counseling/ exercise physiology/
Chinese acupressure. The ability to access all these services under one roof helps enhance care. We are conveniently located
at 723 South Charles Street in down town Baltimore, just off I95. POLICIES are subject to amendment please discuss this before
your appointment. Payment at Time of Service: Full payment is required at the time of service unless other arrangements have
been made in writing. Attendance:
Appointments can be cancelled with 24 hours notice. Appointments missed without 24 hours notice are considered scheduled appointments,
and full fee may be collected. A pattern of missed and late appointments may result in termination and referral to another
clinician. If I need to cancel an appointment because of emergency or illness, you will be notified as soon as possible. The
session will be rescheduled at the next convenient time for both parties. Appointment time & Punctuality: Please
call when running late. Arrival more than 15 minutes late may result in cancellation of the appointment. If you are late,
the therapy session must be shortened in order to maintain the agreed upon schedule. In most cases it’s not possible
to extend the length of the session to compensate for late arrival. Compliance: Compliance with psychiatric medications is required
as a condition of treatment. Compliance with mutually agreed upon contracts, such as safety contracts, is required.

Dr. Varsha Vaidya received her training
in London, England, before coming to the US in 1993. She completed her training in the U.S. at Georgetown University in Washington,
D.C. She is Board Certified in Psychiatry. Dr Vaidya has been in psychiatry since 1988 She treats patients with depression, anxiety, Bipolar Disorder,
Schizophrenia, Adult ADHD, Dementia Eating Disorders and psychiatric disorders in pregnancy and lactation. She specializes
in treating medically ill patients with psychiatric illness Dr. Vaidya’s area of expertise is Obesity Psychiatry. Dr. Vaidya joined the faculty at Johns
Hopkins Bayview in 1996 and served as Director of Consult Psychiatry 1997-2006. She has worked in several areas of psychiatry
and has focused on psychiatric issues in obese patients since 2000. In addition to several journal articles on bariatric psychiatry,
Varsha published a book titled, "Health and Treatment Strategies in Obesity." She is an internationally recognized
expert on obesity and bariatric psychiatry, and has been an invited speaker at numerous conferences and hospitals. Dr Vaidya is an Assistant Professor
of Psychiatry and General Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins University and School of Medicine. She founded the Obesity
Psychiatry program at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in 1999.

Margaret
Furtado, MS, RD, LDN, has almost 20 years' experience in clinical nutrition and dietetics, including 4 years as a nutrition
support dietitian (CNSD), 2 years as a clinical nutrition manager, and 6 years as a renal nutrition specialist. She has spent
the last 6 years working in the field of bariatric nutrition and obesity medicine, including approximately 4 years as a Lead
Dietitian at Tufts/New England Medical Center's Obesity Consult Center, and 2 years at Massachusetts General Hospital's Weight
Center. Margaret received her undergraduate
degree in nutrition from the University of Rhode Island, and her M.S. degree in nutrition and dietetics from Florida International
University, where she also completed her RD training. Areas of particular interest to Margaret are metabolic changes accompanying
bariatric surgery, mindful eating, and stress reduction. She is a registered yoga teacher (RYT 200). Ms. Furtado speaks fluent
Portugese and Spanish. Ms. Furtado has written several journal articles regarding bariatric nutrition, and has also co-authored
chapters in nutrition textbooks on both renal and bariatric nutrition. She is the co-author of the book "Recipes for
Life After Weight Loss Surgery: Delicious Dishes for Nourishing the New You," which was released in February of 2007. Margaret is a member of the Allied Health Committee of the American Society
of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), and gives talks related to bariatric surgery and nutrition throughout the United
States.  Larry got his MSW Degree 1985 from University of Maryland at Baltimore School of Social Work in the
Clinical Concentration-Aging Specialization and a Certificate in Aging from the University of Maryland.He has an M.A. in Psychology in 1986 from
Towson State University in Community Mental Health Counseling.
He is licensed
by the State of Maryland to practice psychotherapy. He has passed the licensing examinations for Social Work Clinical practice. Lawrence Mernaugh has worked in psychiatry
for the past 22 years at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Centers Community Psychiatry Adult Outpatient Program. -22 years
as a Psychotherapist and 19 years as a Clinical Supervisor. Has also served for 20 years as the Consultant to the Employee
assistance Program at JHBMC. Larry treats
patients with depression/anxiety/PTSD/ Bipolar disorder/Eating disorders/ADHD/Dementias/ Delirium and Obesity related psychiatric
symptoms. His area of expertise is treating psychiatric symptoms in the aging, medically ill patient and Obesity. He has
had the privilege of working with patients suffering from an extensive array of psychiatric illnesses including problems related
to crisis, trauma ,grief and end of life issues, stress and interpersonal issues, men’s and women’s issues, body
image, obesity and emotional overeating. Larry has had 22 years of expertise in the modalities of; Individual Psychotherapy,
marital/couples counseling and Group Psychotherapy
